Carrying out further research into global water supply problems and water infrastructure developments (objectives 2 & 3 of previous blog post) has provided further findings on water availability issues in Egypt. These are due to the dependence of water supply from the Nile river and the problems the country faces as a result of this dependence and its management as a water source. The inefficiency of the Aswan Dam due to water evaporation is also a contributing factor to the problem of water scarcity. See below link for a general description of these problems:
